Maine Coons are the largest domesticated breed of cats in the world. They're basically small lions for your house. Photographer Robert Sijka wants to introduce you to Maine Coons to show you just how majestic they are.
"My ions are cats and photography, I do my best to combine these two things as good as possible," says Sijka.
Here are some of the incredible pictures Robert Sijka has taken. We've included our favorites, but you can see more on his personal website here.

Maine Coons have such a thick coat because they've evolved to survive harsh winters. It's the same reason their paws are so big, essentially built-in snowshoes.

Maine Coon cats can cost you about $1,000. They're expensive and a lot to take care of, but anyone who has a Maine Coon will tell you it's worth it!

Maine Coon cats were the official cat for the state of Maine up until 1985! They also love being in water, which is a far cry from any cat I've ever owned.
